The two Papers in this issue examine conditions and factors that spur conflict among rural communities over natural resources.While Tesfaye Teklu's article deals with cases of environmental conflict among farming communities, between farming and pastoral communities and among pastoral communities Tesfaye Tefess's article examines the underlying factors for migration as well as conflict between the migrants and local communities.
