Peasant Entrepreneurship and Rural Poverty Reduction The Case of Model Farmers in Bure Woreda, West Gojjam Zone
FSS Monograph No. 8 The research focused on the entrepreneurial experiences of ‘model’ farmers in the context of the current agricultural extension package program and their contribution to rural poverty reduction efforts by taking Bure Zuria woreda as case study. The research assessed the immediate (direct) and contextual (indirect) factors accounting for the entrepreneurial success of peasants, as well as their impact on other farmers with the ultimate goal of understanding the linkage between peasant entrepreneurship and rural poverty reduction.
